By using Qortex Tools you agree to these terms. They are short because the service is simple: free tools that run in your browser.

The service

Qortex Tools provides free web utilities for software testing. Every tool runs in your browser. No account is required.

We may add, change or remove tools. When a tool is retired its address keeps working and redirects to a related one, because links people have saved should not break.

What you may do

Use the tools for anything, including commercial work. There is no licence to buy, no attribution required, and no limit on what you do with the output.

Data you generate is yours. We make no claim to it.

What you may not do

• Use the tools to attack, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to systems you do not own or have permission to test
• Attempt to disrupt this service, including automated abuse of the pages that do reach our servers
• Reproduce the site's content, including the guides, as your own

On that first point. Some field types deliberately generate hostile input: unusual Unicode, right-to-left overrides, values shaped like injection strings. They exist for testing your own systems. Using them against systems you do not own or have permission to test may be a criminal offence in your jurisdiction, and it is your responsibility, not ours.

Accounts

Optional. Every tool works fully without one.

If you create one, keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think it has been compromised. We may suspend or remove an account that is being used to abuse the service, and we will tell you why if we do.

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.

Accuracy

We try to be right and we do not guarantee it.

The tools implement specifications as we understand them, and the guides reflect professional experience rather than universal truth. A validator that reports no problems does not prove your data is correct. Generated test data does not prove your system is tested.

These are tools for your judgement, not replacements for it. Check anything that matters.

No warranty

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Qortex Lab is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this service, including lost data, lost profits, or consequences of relying on a tool's output.

This is a free service with no contract of sale. If you need guaranteed correctness, guaranteed availability or a support agreement, this is not the right tool and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Availability

We do not guarantee uptime. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, or permanently, without notice.

Because the tools run in your browser, a server outage does not put your data at risk. There is nothing of yours on our servers to lose, unless you saved it to an account.

Third-party content

The tools use open source libraries, each under its own licence. These are listed in the project's LICENSES.md.

The Big List of Naughty Strings, used by the Test Data Generator, is used under the MIT licence with attribution.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted here with a new date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

Who you are contracting with

Qortex Tools is operated by Qortex Lab, currently an unincorporated venture based in Hyderabad, India.

Formal notices should be sent to support@qortexlab.com, and we will provide a postal address on request. If Qortex Lab is incorporated, this section will name the registered entity.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Hyderabad have jurisdiction.

This does not remove rights you cannot waive. Where consumer protection law or another mandatory provision gives you a right to bring a claim in your own jurisdiction, that right stands regardless of what this section says.

Electronic agreements are recognised in India under the Information Technology Act. The Indian Contract Act and applicable consumer protection requirements continue to apply.
